You know there's a button for that, right? ;)

Okay, everyone, you are now Patient Zero!
Spoiler: Personal Statistics (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: World Statistics (click to show/hide)

Check the first post for all the details of your current status at any time. From now on, I'll only be including important bits.

You have a few decisions to make now - You start with 3 mutation points, and you need to put them to good use. You also need to choose a location for patient zero.

I recommend investing at LEAST one of your points in a transmission vector.
Your form is currently undefined, but an initial form costs only a single point, and provides a variety of benefits (and drawbacks).
You can only choose a source once, so it's an important decision and you may want to wait for it - but purchasing it unlocks unique forms and vectors, and since your initial form only costs 1 point... it might be a worthwhile investment.
Your zombies are not, currently, terribly dangerous, though they are at least as durable as most humans. They are also very easy to detect, though obviously it will first be assumed your hosts are diseased rather than zombies. You might want to attempt to make them either more dangerous, or more covert, especially if you rely on a proximal transmission vector like fluids.
Your zombies are also remarkably stupid, acting on little more than instinct, and your control over your hosts is currently via a brute force and poorly focused direct manipulation. This means that in addition to not having much in the way of strategy, tactics, or planning, a sufficiently strong willed person can fight against the control and assert their will, since their own brain handles many of the tasks of the body - this is something you will have difficulty dealing with immediately, but every little bit helps. You can choose either to deal with it directly (by spending points to remove Simple and Rebellious), or by purchasing new abilities to give you a benefit in narrower situations (or increase other risks).
Your zombies currently act independently, avoiding grouping when possible. This makes your nature far less obvious, but also greatly reduces your effectiveness at human enclaves. Changing this always costs a single a point, and the current options are "Independent", "Small Groups", and "Horde".

You can figure out most of the other details.

Vulnerabilities
Note that you can get more mutation points right off the bat by gaining certain vulnerabilities or weaknesses. The most basic vulnerability, "Chemical Death", gives a bonus based on how common it is (1 for rare, 3 for uncommon, 5 for common, and 8 for mundane) and entails exposure to that substance is lethal for your parasite. Examples: The blood of the deaf (Uncommon), Pure Water (mundane). Examples of non-chemical weaknesses include sunlight(8) and certain frequencies of sound(3 or 5).

Unlike your natural red abilities, weaknesses you have purchased can NEVER be eliminated, so choose wisely. However, you may need one or even two if you want to get off to a powerful start.

If you want more info on any of the abilities available to you of a certain type or in a certain area, let me know. Feel free to come up with your own, as well!

1 point to fluid transmission vector, blood, spit, etc.
1 point to an initial form, a tiny parasite that resides in the brain of the host, useing small tenticle-like appendages to 'plug-in' to the hosts brain.
1 point to 'Rebellious'
We must start in madagastgar, they always close their borders too damn fast otherwise.

Heh..... but then again, depends if madagascar is even indepentant, could just be apart of the south african region...

I agree, except to be in some random place with a high density of people, and large slums...

A little bit on parasite forms:

Choosing a distributed internal parasite, like a fungus, allows you to more easily evade detection and avoids any obvious weak points! However, your defenses against things like medicines may be quite weak to start with, and the power you can exert over your host may be low. In addition, it will be harder to mutate forms that can roam independently, but easier to mutate your hosts.

Choosing a more coherent and centralized internal parasite, like a common brain slug, allows for more effective control and the possibility of independent existence right off the bat. However, you can be detected and removed via surgery without some modifications, and obviously if the parasite is destroyed, your control over the host is lost. These forms allow a good balance between independent mutations and mutations of their hosts, while still being fairly difficult to detect.

You can also choose an external parasite. Detection will be far easier, but these are capable of independence right off the bat, and can far more easily be upgraded to be effective in their own right without spreading the disease. However, their ability to modify their hosts is more limited and expensive than their cousins, for which they can somewhat balance by modifying their own abilities and mostly relying on their hosts as a mobile platform and incubation area.

Just because you choose one form as your initial form does NOT mean you cannot later purchase other forms! An internal parasite can easily develop into an external parasite at a later point in its life cycle, or you can create multiple forms (or castes) of different types of parasites that work together towards the same end.

I see Madagascar has already been suggested. Well done! If for some reason that location won't work...

I agree, except to be in some random place with a high density of people, and large slums...

I suggest India! There are definitely communities there that are grungy enough for parasites to remain undetected. Also high population density and access via to a lot of the world doesn't hurt either.

Suggest: distributed internal parasite.

My idea was basicly a Cenralized Internal Parasite.

Unfortunately, you will be required to start somewhere in the US (though your source could be located in another country and was simply transmitted quickly to the US for some reason, in which case you get the bonus of two starting locations). Because thats where the others will be, and we wouldn't want to disappoint them. :P Also, I'm more familiar with it, and I'd like to zoom a bit further out before focusing on other parts of the world.

It most definitely was! And detail is better (for you guys, trust me!)
Its a pretty good setup, honestly, and seems okay with me.

Also, your transmission vector and form combined would probably entail the passing of some sort of parasite eggs or larva working their way into the fluids of the body. This means there would definitely be an incubation time in the host after infection, so keep that in mind. The initial incubation time will be two days (during which the affected characters will grow quite sick). There are reasons to want both a shorter or longer incubation time, though.
