One of my favotire artifact moments came when just moments after getting the annoucment of:
"The king and his advisors have arrived!"

A Dwarf went fey and created a STEEL CROWN that was engraved with an image of the Dwarf king rising to power.

Hows that for timing?

He was sucking up to get a nobility promotion.  You should grant his wishes with a Submagmarine.  ;)

That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.

Wait, what's the symbolism? That he spent way too much time at the furnace?  ???

Also: holy cow, two more posts in the time it took me to type that first part.

Also also: damn, another post in the time it took me to type the above.

Another bit of symbolism: Bituminous coal is represented by ☼, both before and after digging it out. Suns are also represented by a ☼.

As is money and Masterwork Quality.

I have an idea, torch it and leave it outside for a thief to grab it and quickly burn to death.

Billimous coal?  What's that...
I have an idea, torch it and leave it outside for a thief to grab it and quickly burn to death.
The problem is that it will slowly creep closer and closer to the map edge unless you periodically turn off temperature and restockpile it.

MIND.  BLOWN.

I don't know about anyone else, but that happens so much, I just thought it was normal.
At least 1 artifact every 2~3 years has a self-reference.

I've had that happen once or twice. Kind of weird.

I Planepacked an adamantine shortsword with thirteen self-images on it. I just assumed it had thirteen layers of recursion, and the last one lacked the self-image.
