I had a dwarf in a strange mood make platinum greaves with a picture of itself on them... in platinum. Then later, in the same fort, one of my farmers went into a strange tanning mood and made a leather face veil with a picture of the platinum greaves on it. Then I got roflstomped by a pack of goblins.

It's not an artifact, mind you. But I found it when I was idly looking through my odd assortment of artifacts, because it's depicted on one of them.

Circles. Representing a (stinky) berry. The dwarves do know that I don't use tilesets, I suppose, and he realized that in our lifeless and forsaken tundra environment, a berry would be stinky indeed.

Why would a berry be stinky in a tundra?  ???

That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.

It would have to be carried from the other end of this world to this tundra. Since everything is extinct except the wild animals, cavefish civilizations, titans and forgotten beasts, you have to imagine a rhesus macaque carry this berry from the south pole to the northern regions where the fortress is built.

A journey like that should take the rhesus macaque several weeks, and now don't tell me that the berry wouldn't get gooey and stinky on the way.

Sometimes the internet is much smaller than it would appear to be. But no, I don't think you'll
have to be on your toes here in the same way you'd have to be on SDN. Sorry 'bout that post,
I just couldn't resist.  :)

I don't know if this is mind blowing, but this is one of the coolest artifacts i've gotten, and at 2.5 mil dbs, the most valuable.
