I think Cobbleopolis should just claim sovereignty over its surrounding lands. Not actually using /claim, because that's kind of boring. Just make it so that if you decide to build something near Cobbleopolis, you acknowledge that it's up to the city whether or not it stays. Fits into the mild RP thing, too.

 Haven't the cities effectively taken over for the nations in doing that?
 
 Or would a nation be a conglomeration of cities and the area's they claim?

 This would make things a lot more interesting, and would maybe necessitate the use of patrols to ensure no infringement of borders and add to faction dynamics. It's also an excellent excuse to build lots of watchtowers  :D

Cities and nations are two seperate things. I'm not 100% on how they work, but I think it's just that a town/city can found a nation, then recruit other towns into the nation much like the same way towns can recruit citizens.

Cobbleopolis could do that, but if anyone founded their own town nearby there'd not be much you could do other than declaring war. And claiming sovereignty over someones land then deciding their buildings didn't suit your taste and tearing them down would be a surefire way to get people angry at cobbleopolis, which could lead to some pretty interesting conflicts. So I say go for it. :P

You broke it by deleting towny the hard way?

But anyway, I didn't think anything of it because there was alot of lag at the time, but it crashed immediately after I made c4lv1n town.

There have been a sabotage at Cobbleopolis!
Someone have been breaking glass, resulting in the flooding of my workshop with magma!
Altough this have been fixed, I recommend you guys check your chests.

Also, monsters have been lurking in the main stair shaft.

No. that woulden't cause this.

What if the part where he becomes a towny automatically, was broken?
