Temperature shift
« on: October 30, 2007, 01:01:00 am »

I selected a region that was 'Tropical'.

When I started there was green grass and many small lakes.  After the first season change all the lakes completely dried up, and all the grass died.  It never rains.  Weather is on.

There does seem to be a disconnect between the world rainfall number and local weather.  Not sure what's up yet.

On a similar note, do outdoor ponds ever refill?

When I started in this area, they were all full. However they all quickly dried up. Even so, it's only rained two or three times in three years, so this might not be unusual.

Yeah, pond tiles in particular should refill if the conditions that made them dry in the first place are absence.  But rain seems relatively infrequent in places where it should be raining more according to the numbers.
