Yep. It's scarier here seeing everyone react - more specifically, not seeing anyone. Most people are staying inside. Shops are all shut down (a few more than usual for Spring Festival) and there's been a run on masks and food.

The New Year holiday was extended, to keep people from travelling - my work already said I don't have to go in until the end of February. Really waiting on that new DF release to burn a few days on a new world.

You're right - deaths are mostly among those who might die of influenza. I think the panic is starting to pass here, but I know people further out from the center of China are panicing more as they start to get restrictions and fever checks.

Since I don't really follow the news can someone explain to me what's the fuss with the corona virus? Is it just the usual case of the media trying to create some panic for that sweet sweet ravenue? The excitement for discovering a new virus? Or is there some danger I can't see?

As of yesterday's WHO report there are hardly 10k cases worldwide of which less than 3k have actually been confirmed to be related. Moreover there just about 100 deaths due to said virus. Tragic as any case can be, these are hardly the numbers to justify all that panic..

No you don't understand, MICROSCOPIC BIO MACHINES are injecting DNA into our cells in order to HIJACK them and transform them into factories that create MORE BIO MACHINES. The ultimate result is the creation of a half-man/half-virus super creature that sprays bio machines into the air for further proliferation.
