Not as important as a missing forum poster, but my job only posts schedules for the next week on the last day of the previous week 6 hours before close.  I DO get to see a preliminary schedule, but I am always told not to treat it as final and to call. 

I forgot to call yesterday because it was mom's birthday and I was buzy with that, today is the first day of the new schedule week.  Preliminary schedule showed me as off today, and I'm typically not scheduled til after 3pm anyway but no one is answering the phone when I call to check it (tried 4 times now 15 minutes apart), and it's getting to the point where If I'm coming into work I need to be getting into uniform and leaving now.

Noticed the light pole at the traffic crossing with the "go" buttons got swiped. There was a new button on the box that was taped on the pole to keep it from falling off.

After I pressed the button and the light turned, a car slid through the red light. I stayed away from the road after that as much as I could.

Nah, human drivers suck. Cars are inefficient compared to other modes of transportation but are certainly convenient for the individual, so we're probably going to keep them around when we upgrade to machine drivers who don't crash into things.

See, I hear this as a joke pretty frequently, but I see the stupidest shit every day on the road. Just this morning I saw someone pass me on the right-hand shoulder WITHOUT LIGHTS. At FOUR IN THE MORNING.

It's really is safest to assume that every other driver on the road is a goddamn moron.
