Usually it's more strange than that. Or more tame. But it's basically how it goes.

Realizing it's 2017. I'm 15 now for fucks sake.
When I was little, I decided in my little head that if I get to 16 without anything supernatural happening in my life, nothing ever would, but now I'm 8 months away from 16 and I realize there's much bigger things to worry about than not getting superpowers.
I'm in high school and I moved to the US with my mom (steppy's white) and I have no idea what to do, education/life/employment-wise. I still got time to figure things out, but it's all extremely daunting. Pair that with me being extremely awkward in social situations  (not exaggerating for attention, as the environment I grew up in is dramatically more...urban than down south where I live now, and everyone's got an accent that apparently is required to have a half-decent conversation with people) and you've got yourself a teen crashing through high school with no idea what to do. If I wasn't smart, I'd be dead in the water, education-wise.

Don't worry fam that's pretty normal, most kids don't have eureka moments where they finally figure out all they're going to be in life, rather, they live life and find who they are going to be as they are. The future is a big place, the present is considerably smaller
