Dunno about Texas, but banks in NZ will usually reverse transactions and give you a new card without much fuss.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Fraud alert it, freeze it?

Yeah, that's what I did. Bank was real helpful and accommodating in explaining what to do. Never had this happen before though, so it kinda freaked me out. Fortunately the fraud charge was pending, and hadn't actually been completed when I alerted the bank and they disabled the card. So with any luck I won't have to fill out any paperwork.

Definitely made me more paranoid about electronic banking and online security though. I have no idea who it was that got my info, or if they even did get it, or how they got it, or if it was actually intentional fraud/identity theft or just an accident, somehow. Nervous about if they maybe got any other info besides my debit card or if I'm in the clear now tht I've reported it and disabled the debit card.

Yeah you need to be really careful with the inside of your ears. Anything beyond "incredibly gentle" is a no go.

@Spehss:You can never be too paranoid, but don't go overboard on acting on it.

I knew a guy who became deaf in one ear from childhood because he put a pea in his ear

Man, good thing I only ever swallowed coins. Apparently I was a good capitalist even back during my oral phase.

Choked on a boneless buffalo chicken wing today. First time I've ever actually choked on an item of food, and the burning from the spicy sauce made it ten times worse. Luckily it did not require a Heimlich or anything because that would have been far too embarrassing. Had involuntary tears streaming down my face, though.

Man, I almost choked on an unlikely object of food a while ago.
Fortunately I eventually managed to get it under control after much coughing and spluttering... I was the only one in the restaurant and knowing me I probably would have died before calling out to the shopkeeper waiter. :P

Incidentally, is the shopkeeper of a restaurant/cafe still called a shopkeeper, or is there another word for it?
'Proprietor' could work I suppose, but that seems to apply more to the owner of a store, not just the staff. ...Wait, it would be waiter, wouldn't it? Nevermind. >.>
