...so now we've got giant and person versions for most of the original animals. The newer animals from the sponsorship drive came with those forms, but we never did have giant elephants and various large bears and all the great cat people and so forth.

Two people ina road nearby me were found dead in their car. Nothing really bad ever seems to happen around here, so it's kind of freaky to begin with, but the fact that they're not even saying who the people were or what killed them or wether or not they even know what killed them to begin with only makes it worse. People say they heard gunshots soon before they were found, but one of them supposedly also called 911 shortly before they died, and it's improbable that one of them would have been able to call 911 safely if they were being attacked by a gunman in their car where they had nowhere to run. So what the hell?

They could have got shot, the attacker left, and then they called emergency services. I'm not an expert on murderers, but I imagine most people wouldn't want to stick around after shooting somebody with a gun.

Why would you shoot them and leave them alive if you wanted to kill them?

Because they looked dead enough? I dunno, sticking a couple of bullets somewhere fairly vital and then booking it seems like a reasonable strategy.

Well, I found out that the 911 call was supposedly unrelated, although the two people were definitely shot. Still no information other than that.

Depending on the type of firearm and where the bullets hit, a lucky person can survive several dozen shots long enough to call for help. Probably not long enough for the help to arrive, but the point is, bullets aren't as quite as immediately lethal as video games lead us to believe. And as said, a murderer would rather be as far as possible from the scene than counting the victims' pulses.
