In fairness, a few specific makes of vaccine do contain some questionable additives, but yeah, it's a pretty damn stupid idea.

Which ones? After anti-vaxxers raised a fuss that could half-sorta-maybe-but-probably-not be valid, the scary-sounding additives were, to my knowledge, pulled.

You know, I would be fine with the idiots DRINKING FUCKING BLEACH if only they didn't subject their children to that, too...

Specifically, there was one, I think for the flu, that supposedly contained mercury for some reason. I'm not actually sure where I got that information, or if it's reliable, but hey.

The bleach-drinking, however. If I wanted to commit suicide, I'd do it with something that doesn't take s'damn long.

There was a preservative in the vaccines called thimerosal, part of the chemical structure includes mercury. That was the reference earlier, about sodium and chlorine, same idea.

Plus I'm pretty sure thimerisol hasn't been in common use for over a decade.

And the symptoms of mercury poisoning are nothing like autism anyway except in the extremely generic sense of being neurological.

So I'm doing research for a presentation about skin diseases caused by cytoskeletal disorders and I open a Wikipedia page for Harlequin-type ichtyosis.

That was the first mistake.

The second mistake was GISing it since the Wikipedia pic is an 1886 illustration.
