Genuinely didn't think of OOCQ until now. Just the first thing that popped into mind with holes and blood.

Don't master bait hard enough so that people will catch on, just master bait silently: that's the true sign of a pro.

All of the medics in the world could not re-embowel you now.

So yesterday when I showed up for work I was informed that I didn't do any of my "chores" fast enough, and that my till was short by $30. I'm terrified now that my till will have been off last night too, and I rushed the chores to get done in time, but i tried to ensure it was all done anyway. I don't wanna get fired :x

I keep having dreams about fucking up at work now too.

German class at our school requires a "custom textbook". Basically this means you pay a very high price ($125) for a limited version of the original textbook and can't get it used or elsewhere. Literally just spend over $100 for 6 chapters of a textbook.

That's not the terrifying part, though. The terrifying part is that I took the placement test over a year ago, and placed past the first level of German. Flipping through the six chapters of textbook I just received, I am seriously starting to worry about how this is going to go. My memory has...quite large holes. This semester may be  :o

Buy it from pirates. Even if you consider IP infringement immoral it's still ceryainly less immoral than price-fixing, so you retain the moral high ground

I'm not sure paying people to break the law is any more moral than breaking the law just by yourself.

They're bombs.
From a bomb factory.

Price fixing might be immoral, but at least the books they sell don't cause a 23 kiloton explosion as soon as you open one.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.
