Good ones go with protection, and can dodge projectiles.
... the good ones do, yes, but there always seems to be so few of those. Either they don't have a helmet, or they're one dismount from losing huge swaths of their skin due to no jacket/good pants or whatev'. My personal ranking is full idiot (neither helmet nor limb protection), half idiot (one mission) or smart person, and there's a fairly significantly larger amount of the first two in the area I'm in :-\

Occasionally I actually see a rider that has proper clothing and a helmet, and let out a little cheer of appreciation. It's like seeing someone that uses their goddamn blinker and passes at a reasonable distance instead of tailgating first.

You have a family, you probably go "smart person".
If you have the financial conditions tough, I have heard that lesser risky cars are well worth the high price.

It's hard to justify going full motorcyclist gear when you drive 1km to work and back.

Oh US, you so silly~

Around here that sort of protective gear is mandated by the state, just like seatbelts. I guess it's kidney freedom vs kidney solidarity.

Do gay kidneys have better filtering properties, or not?

You're right, that is extremely racist and I apologize for saying as such. But it was never implied that gay people have gay kidneys.

Having seatbelts on a motorcycle seems more dangerous than not having them, to me.
