I thought you were referring to Twitch Plays Pokemon too.
It's usually referred to as the TPPA, but Bohandas is au contraire.

Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. Basically a treaty for US megacorps to fuck over a bunch of other countries (primarily New Zealand) and consumers all over the place.
All of the negotiations have been conducted with absurd levels of secrecy. Some leaked documents show that corporations will be able to sue nations if their profits are impacted.

Not just sue them, have laws overturned as well.

Obama has attempted to claim that there are similar passages in other treaties that we are part of, but to the best of my knowledge those treaties only allow for such lawsuits by other countries, not from corporations. It's not like turning over a portion of our sovereignty to an allied nation, hell, it's not even like turning over a portion of our sovereignty to Iran or North Korea. This is many times worse.

'Turning' over sovereignty is such an inadequate word. Perhaps 'looting' or 'pillaging' would be better. 'Systematically excised' is also good.

I think the Aliens mega-corporations like Weyland-Yutani fit better.  Weyland-Yutani monopolizes space trade, space shipping, owns and controls the United States Colonial Marines in the Aliens Universe, and is a member of the Interstellar Commerce Commission, meaning they aren't the only big monopolizing mega-corp controlling space.

BNL controls everything in Wall-E, while in Aliens there's multiple megacorps controlling everything.

How have I not heard of this before? That sounds absolutely terrible. But I wonder what kind of enforcement provisions it has. If Indonesia gets sued by Camel Cigarettes and (rightly) gives them the bird instead of dignifying their delusions with a polite response, what happens to them?

Seems it only applies to countries that agree to be a part of it. Not that that helps us too much.

For the much of the negotiations the government went t0 great lengths to cover it up. In fact, They're still trying to limit info on it

Central America is not South America~

Also, seriously. That was a terrible time. UFC got the US to kick out a democratically elected government by force and basically started a war, to name a few.

At least that time the U.S. overthrew a democratic government can't be summarized as "CIA preemptive action to remove potential dirty commie pinko bastards what might not toe the U.S. geopolitical line by murdering democratically elected leaders in favor of right-wing military/religious dictators," 'cause it's "just" corruption, greed, and probably some racism, instead of jingoistic Greater Good Syndrome and Cold War era paranoia.
