Not exactly terrifying, but... I have to interview a new hire candidate tomorrow for my first time ever.

I feel you man, that is some serious pressure.  Try to remember how many places you interviewed to get a job and remember you don't owe him anything. And you never know, it might go swell.


I am expected to train my replacement so I can move on to bigger and better things.  Or possibly be shitcanned after someone else knows how to do what I'm doing.

Either way I have been assigned to dig my own grave.  I don't even like my performance being measured, now I have to deal being measured by someone else's performance.

I've had exactly 4 in-person interviews in my life, and got job offers out of 3 of them

So I'm not even experienced with interviewing on the other side, though I guess I'm pretty good at it.

The job I applied for is running a criminal background check. I know there's nothing to find, but this is something that hasn't been done before, and it worries me a bit anyway.
