Still more of a thing that made me Mildly Worried today for now, but...

My friend and I were supposed to be going somewhere this evening, but he went off this morning to buy drugs with another friend in some weird large town/small city somewhere to the north of here. I expected him to be back by now but he's not, and his phone is either busy or turned off. It's probably just flat, but still.
I guess I'll make myself a coffee.

No, now they are going to surgically alter someone to look the same as Putin who is trained to act exactly the same as him before presenting him as the real Putin. When that Putin eventually gives out they will get another one with the same treatment. From now on there will only be one Putin that will never get too much older than he is now, and all Putins will be that one Putin. Isn't water a renewle resource?

Plus, they're a costal state, a significant chunk of the state can just build some desalination plants if they need more water (provided that they're not also bankrupt)

When does the water rationing begin? Of course though, it would be a case of too little, too late.

Bohandas, yes the aquifers will replenish, but it takes a REALLY long time, many thousands of years, and that's without humans meddling with it.

We'll probably end up importing water from Canada. A gigantic pipeline from the Great Lakes to the Central Valley would be a good addition to a national infrastructure bill, too, and you could actually get some California Republicans to vote on it, since that's where they're mostly based.
