The semi-secret technique used in the toon is a powerful tool of web-magic. WHY IS IT BEING USED FOR A THREE-FRAME ANIMATION?! Last time I saw it used for horror, it not only broke the fourth wall, but it chopped the remains up and mailed them to me, piece by piece. I'm disappointed.

They made a prequel http://comic.naver.com/webtoon/detail.nhn?titleId=350217&no=30&weekday=tue
That was even more disappointing than the first one. Second one? I don't even know how the sod prequels are supposed to work.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

... I managed to mess up reading both of them, first one I was using the scroll bar so it didn't auto-scroll, second one I scrolled by the part too fast, so nothing happened until I scrolled up...

Was that the one with the bloody ghost woman? I didn't bother to check until I noticed the browser scrolling comment.

Yeah, it is. Browser scrolling is literally the most interesting thing about it.

I was intrigued by that too. Nice use of the auto-scroll.

Oddly enough, I was startled by it more than scared by it. If anything, I actually felt bad about that lost soul.

What would have helped would have been asking for information (after getting past the initial squick), and also being honest and saying no. Plus, with abnormal ghost towns and such, I would usually assume a Silent Hill pocket-reality effect is in play, and just learn the rules of it, what the creature is, what it wants, and logically and wisely, and kindly, figure out a solution, and maybe even, help the poor soul out (removing the curse in the process, and maybe even making a friend). Then again, I'm pretty hardened to this stuff. Also helps learning how to not panic. Having several close encounters with sharks kinda helps about that. So far, the Natural worries me more than the Supernatural; the Subnatural, I'm uncertain.

EDIT:
Naturally, for supernatural events, whether you're a religious person or not, it also helps to say a prayer; at least, asking for St. Michael the Archangel's protection (simpler version of the same prayer; commonly said during mass). It always helps to have one of God's elite looking after you. Especially if they're reputed for kicking Satan's ass on a regular basis. In my case, it also helps that they're my guardian angel.

EDIT EDIT:
Come and think of it, I think that's why I probably have so few supernatural events in my life, outside of deceased family visiting by blowing open the doors on a calm day and leaving them open (close the freaking door after coming in; bad enough the living still do that), and maybe the occasional UFO (2 sightings in my lifetime so far, 1 semi-lit (several windows on it) and clear as day (all full-grey like a worn/well-traveled ship, though it looked similar to Bespin Cloud City or a flying mushroom, and as tall as a skyscraper), and another were glowing orbs cruising along the river; both local sightings). Oddly enough, I checked MUFON about any sightings related to it, and no results.

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
A theory I have about anyone with ghost stories and encounters with the Supernatural. What mindset did you have before the event took place, and do you believe you may have psychic potential? UFOs are a minor exception; they may be using a denial field that may convince you they're not there. Not invisibility, per se, but applied/forced-ignorance. Like having a crush on someone, and they don't even notice you exist.

You don't understand the point of not being religious, do you?

Not even as a paranoid safety-measure? What if a prayer could be a set of instructions cryptically written? What if said prayer is a passcode through something? "Open, says me."

It doesn't hurt to be crazy-prepared sometimes, regardless what you are. Simply put, I'm not intent on being Horror Movie Fodder anytime soon. So, I'm pretty much open-minded to anything.

EDIT:
Open-mindedness does help. What if said demon or whatever doesn't respond to your own religion specifically? So, have one you know and can apply, and learn a few others, just in case. Like this guy.

Saying a prayer wouldn't help me one jot. It might make me feel better, were I that way inclined, but so would whistling or singing, tapping my foot, controlling breathing, etc.

Also, I really doubt UFOs have been to earth. If they had been there would be more evidence, even taking into account their advanced technology, they would leave some form of trail. Sightings of UFOs carry as much meaning and weight as sightings of Vishnu or the Virgin Mary.

Sometimes saying a prayer will put your mind at ease and actually do squat in reality; like a placebo. If it can put your mind at peace to handle the situation with a bit more rationality, so be it. As long as you're calm during anything scary as hell, you may yet have a chance at survival (provided you're quick and have excellent critical thinking skills (something, sadly, no longer taught in schools)).

EDIT:
As for my latest UFO encounter (a couple months ago), I wasn't expecting it, and was on my usual mindset (at the time, still venting from work stress, and enjoying a beautiful day out) when I go for a walk. Once I saw the orbs going across the sky, I didn't panic or whip out my phone immediately (which would have been impossible at that time, seeing as I left it at home); but rather had an unusually calm and blase reaction to it, like "Huh... That's not a common occurrence." and was handling it like a Rifftrax commentery, while also taking notes of everything to measure out (Google Earth for measurements and distances, and plotting them). One was small and red, bouncing back and forth across the river horizon at speeds nothing I've ever seen IRL go, and the other was large and blue, and had 3 orbs clustered together (maybe seeing it as a flying wing from the side) slowly cruising alongside it at more normal speeds (though still rather fast). It was a full 3-odd minutes of this in the morning, and a storm was behind them, though beachside, it was clear out. When they left, they faded as if covered by the horizon's fog (like a Fog of War in RTS games; and they were well away from the storm by the end). These things were reasonably bright, and they faded in the distance. Oh, and I looked away from them, from time to time, to confirm they were there, and if they also disappear when not observed. First sighting was lost because of that. I looked away and it was gone; I actually was looking for other possible witnesses, and if they didn't see it, I wanted to show them while it was still there. I was the only witness.).

EDIT EDIT:
Think of it, praying does squat, but can keep one calm. Not so squat anymore. Praying is just another way to keep calm; probably regardless the words. When you really think about it, a prayer in one fashion or another (silent or audible) could be a rhythmic resonance that keeps the body active and in high-alert. I mean, that's one way to look at it. Something less panicky than a madness mantra is probably more comfortable rhythmically, since they're less erratic in patterns.

I have yet to see a prayer do anything in reality beyond what normal words can do. Just because we give voice to our thoughts, doesn't mean we can somehow control anything- prayers aren't magic spells.
