My poor puppy stuck her tail in the heater today and burned some hair off. I was afraid I was going to have a roasted hot dog for a second. :-X
As with all injuries that end up being non-serious and only cosmetic, that is hilarious.

Just took my first dose of anti-depressant ever. After reading the whole packet I got that lists various side effects and warnings.

Hopefully I don't die. Lots of potential side effects sounded unpleasant. ._.

Most of the "side effects" of anti-depressants are actually symptoms of depression that depression normally covers up. Depression's a multi-faceted disease, and some parts respond to chemical treatment much more readily than others, resulting in some pretty serious mental (and mentally-induced physical effects) effects until the rest goes away

Yeah, like they don't increase suicidal thoughts, they just give people who were already suicidal the energy and confidence needed to get up out of bed and say "I CAN construct a noose out of belts."

That just seems counterproductive.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Well, I guess that I currently see it more in a positive light, since it doesn't really look like it can "read minds" without the test subjects expressly trying to let it.

I had the same reaction when I first started anti-depressants as an adult (I didn't get to read the side effects list of the ones my parents fed me)
It looks really bad and horrible, but just keep in mind that that's because they list EVERYTHING, including whatever guy took it that had 14 other problems going on, and they can't prove it wasn't the antidepressant that they had bad reactions to, so they have to list it anyway.

And a lot of those side effects only last about a week or so. I've been on my new anti depressants for a couple weeks now and the bad parts are over.
Can't tell if they're working or not cause all the crap going on in life right now, but I think I'm slightly less irritable.

It freaks me out when I'm participating in one online community and I recognize people from another one there.  I like to keep shit compartmentalized.

Every day I consider the miniscule possibility that the person sitting in the college atrium or the person across from me at Wendy's is actually someone from B12. I see Tiruins, Vectors, Descans, and -god help me- even LSP's from time to time.

Then I remember that I live in Georgia and noone else does. Hah!

We're pretty spread out. Although I think Descan is the closest to me... *building begins shaking*

I also have that advantage, in that nobody lives in Kentucky, not even Kentuckians.

And then I remember that Sirus is a trucker, and could theoretically truck to any state, and therefore be everywhere at once.

So all truckers are actually quantum Sirus's.
