So, I went on a driving lesson today. Go no further than a few blocks down the street when we come across a massive accident and we're the first ones on the scene. We had to wait for about an hour or so until we were cleared to go home.

That reminds me of my Driver's Ed class. *shudders* so many accident videos. The one with surgery to treat some injuries incurred was one of the worst, since it showed everything on-screen in great detail. Also, the one that started with a happy group of friends and the words "This man is about to give his girlfriend permanent brain damage". *quickly thinks of something else*

Armed Forces member was just shot several times at the War Memorial on parliament hill 20 minutes ago. 2 suspects on the loose, sounds like it was a rifle, likely ISIS related due to recent events locally. My little bro is in the military, so this concerns me greatly... Anyways, downtown is being locked down, swat teams and cops everywhere apparently. At least my bro is away right now.

Oh, I'm nowhere downtown thank goodness. (not sure if clear, but this is in Ottawa). Still pretty spooked, usually a pretty quiet city.
EDIT:
Cops reporting one shooter dead, at least 1 or 2 more on the loose downtown. Possible shooter on roof somewhere. No reports of other casualties yet.
