I have a fear of them/A morbid curiosity, it looks so alien and unnatural to see these bloodless holes in flesh that it kind of comes all the way around and becomes interesting to me.

My friend's pet parrot is eating chicken. I'm not sure why I find this unsettling, but apparently avian semi-cannibalism really freaks me out.

What about things like hawks and eagles? Or peregrine falcons, which pretty much survive off of killing and eating smaller birds.

Apparently it refers to the supposed condition of irrational fear of things with asymmetrical holes in them.

And yes, images of lotus seed pods superimposed over flesh is a good example of what is supposed to trigger this fear. And it does look really goddamn creepy/disgusting, which seems a normal reaction when presented with horrible wounds and disfigurement.

The reason why I'm afraid/curious from them is mostly because I find it so alien and disturbing for those bloodless holes to exist in flesh, I mean, bread should trigger tryphophobia, but it doesn't for me, anyway.
