Seconded. I read the Silmarillion a couple of years back, and I loved it. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who can force their way through the first bits.

II, YOU'RE a cute little letter.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

If you were the entire alphabet, then you'd be a quick brown fox, jumping over lazy dogs.

By missing out "the", that phrase no longer contains every letter in the alphabet.

@Tiruin: I know it's for my own good, but my anxiety attacks don't.
Honestly, it wasn't bad, though. It doesn't even hurt anymore.
(The clowns in the ER wing are morons, though, and will blow veins all the time and fuck up your arm bad. I refuse to believe those idiots are proffesionals, I'd much rather someone like you do it, or the person who took it yesterday, because the ER people don't care if they hurt people.)

._.
That scares me.
Though glad to hear that you're doing fine in those cases :D

Terrify: Watch A Tale of Two Sisters ._.
It's not the story or the idea of multiple personalities or [horror ghost due to stupid people being stupid jerks] that scares me...
But the depth in how far one can be a jerk and communicate very poorly [stepmother, I'm lookin at you] and still...>.>
I'm glad there was retribution though.
...Even if in...that way.
Awesome movie though :D

Well, I fucked up. My organic chemistry lab was today, and the lab was separating the sucrose, aspirin, and an unknown analgesic compound which may have been acetaminophen, but also could have been antifebrin or phenacetin. That isn't important though, not this week at least. I borked just about all of the extractions in some way, and failed to produce any meaningful amount of the unknown or sucrose. what little aspirin I did extract was less than half of what I should have pulled out. More concerning though is that I was using dichloromethane as a solvent for part of the separation, and I spilled some on my hands. I told the TA keeping an eye on things, and he told me to wash it off, so I did. The whole thing happened between the fume hood where I got the stuff and the fume hood where I was working though, so I'm more than a little concerned. I got about 1 mL on my hands in total, luckily only a small fraction of what was in the graduated cylinder. This was about 3 hours ago, so I think I'm fine, but it is still worrying.

DCM isn't too bad - I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.
