That is shooting over the air by processes that most people can't even understand and even the people who do understand it have to constantly correct people who think the explanation is one that's outdated.

Still, don't want anyone here at any risk of stray bullets. Obviously Moncton is a decently large area, but you never know what could happen. Do you have a basement or something there that you could hang out in until things have calmed down?

Someone killed three cops and is on the run now. In Canada.

He's still on the run now, nearly a full day later, having killed three cops and injured two, in addition to an unconfirmed number of civilians.  He was spotted a few times this morning but his location is still unknown.  There were helicopters, armoured trucks and snipers surrounding his suspected position a little while ago but he turned out not to be there.  The news is going on and on about the role of social media in this, and of course they love to bring up how he has Megadeth lyrics on his Facebook page.
The weird thing is there were two other shootings in Canada yesterday, one in the same goddamn town, all seemingly unrelated.  The second shooter in Moncton shot and critically injured a civilian and was captured, and a third guy in Burnaby (my hometown, actually just like ten minutes east of my place) injured a cop, was tasered and died.

But yes, America isn't leaking. The crazies are everywhere. Some of them our crazies are your crazies. My father, who works in a psych ward at a local hospital, said that they admitted a new patient recently: an 18 year old girl from some nation I can't remember the name of, who had been raped by her family and now likes to lock herself in the bathroom, clog all the drains, turn on all the faucets and repeatedly flush the toilet so the room floods, then cover herself in poo and throw poo at the nurses/beat them up when they come to get her.
