Funny how there's so much praise for modern technology making communication so easy and fast and  accessible, and yet it's all rendered useless if the person you're trying to contact won't respond. Such a simple little thing that renders all this amazing technology as helpful as snail mail.

The one with blood coagulation is probably the worst. It's nothing to do with suffering, it's just a biologist putting a droplet of snake venom into a petri dish of blood and the blood turns into a solid patty. Imagination does the rest to what it would do to a person's circulatory system.

I've been doing pretty good with managing one project at a time. Even occasionally two projects, when they're interrelated.

Today I found out that I'm being given FOUR projects from someone going on medical leave, in addition to the one I'm already running.



It's like "Oh hey! I think I'm starting to get this juggling thing -- look, I can do three tennis balls at once!"

"Great. Here, catch these flaming chainsaws and this rabid badger."
