Today I learned that I don't do well with surprises in video games. Actually, I knew that already, but oh well.

I was playing the pretty neat game Project Zomboid, on my bed in the dark. For those that don't know, the game involves wandering around a cute little town, trying to find supplies and food and stuff without getting eaten by the shambly zombies. I was wandering around through a house when it started raining outside, it was pretty peaceful, actually. I opened all of the rooms but one in the house, and had found nothing hostile through the pitter-patter of the rain. On the way to the staircase, I noticed a door that I hadn't opened yet. Of course, right as I open it, a super loud bolt of thunder blasts through my headphones, and totally freaks me out. No, nothing was behind that door, but if there were, I'd probably have to turn off my computer for a day D:

Yeah, I oftentimes have it where if I get tense and something I WASN'T expecting appears, I crap myself.

In the situation you mentioned, I'd have jumped, but if there was a zombie, it would have been 'AH HA! DIEDIEDIE!'

Hilariously the toaster going off makes me jump... but only if I've anticipated it going off. If it just goes of as a surprise I ignore it.

So, I had a Math (calculus, specifically) test today at 8 AM.

I woke up at 6.58 somehow, even though the alarm was set at 7 and 7.15. 'Oh well' I thought 'let me just close my eyes for a second. Worst case scenario the second alarm will wake me up.'

So, after opening my eyes and discovering it's now 8.12 I dressed so fast that I'll need to check my clothes for scorch marks, ran/walked (alternating between the two) to a tram station half a mile away and ran into the lecture hall where the test was being held at 8.30.

...and did three and a half out of four questions in the time it took everyone else to do all of them. The one I didn't do was mostly because I didn't know what should I do with the particular equation I had to calculate. No idea on the correctness of those, though, I can only hope it's good.
