Was the only one on the bus going home from an exam earlier.

Then someone else got on and sat beside me. Why? There are plenty of free seats. In fact, all of them were free.

It was incredibly awkward. I wanted to put my headphones in and listen to music so that I had an excuse not to talk, but if I did they would hear my music. I don't really like it when others listen to my music. But thankfully we didn't say a word to each other the whole ride.

What is with this whole "social anxiety and not wanting others to know what you play/listen/watch"? I've had to convince my brother that he shouldn't be embarrassed of playing Skyrim publicly, if "publicly" means "in front of your own brother".

Everyone that I've let listen to my mp3 so far has refused to talk to me since because "my music is weird".

I've got a wide range of music on there, and it always seems to choose whatever genre the person I let listen hates.

Just about every person who dares ask what I listen to on my headphones receives a hearty dosage of this, this or you get the idea. Fuck no I'm not letting you know that like 80% of the time it's various people exercising their magical voice skills to sing like little girls or male variants thereof. Figure out your own way of dealing with stress.

...also, I actually like the premise of a personal space arms race. Personal multi-layered forcefields for the sole purpose of being a giant "FUCK OFF" towards anyone who would get uncomfortably close and/or purposefully touch you without your permission are awesome in my book.

Nah, it's understandable if you aren't East-Asian or haven't lived in Asian communities to not be able to spot the differences. Humans in general look very similar as long as they're a homogenous community, and the more East-Asia you go, the more features become uniform [excluding the various island/archipelago nations]. Without surgery or god awful chemicals plastered on your body, if you're Asian you have a choice between brown, black or burgundy hair. And for eyes? Brown and brown. The further you get with human populations from Sub-Saharan Africa, the less genetic variation there is.

I got to say, if I saw someone wearing that in the subways here I'd report the hell out of them.I mean there's, as one picture pointed out, crowded subways; but they can also jerk around and knock people over (I myself have fallen into quite a few people, and a few bumps are pretty severe), and once that happens, you are causing problems. Plus you take up more space then the fattest people I've seen.
