It's been almost a year since I graduated and touched anything related to my degree. The best thing I could tell them is "I'm eager to learn".

Uncertainty, self-doubt and probably depression is doing wonders on my confidence.

Don't be afraid of interviews.  Chances are they already decided to hire someone else and they just have to say they interviewed others to satisfy some Equal Employment standard.

Don't tell anyone that you can see their shadows. If they hear you telling anyone, if you let them know that you know of them, they will get you.

Finished my phone interview today. I'm up against less than a dozen people and only 2-3 gets a face-to-face interview. God I was so honest and told him I got zero work experiences.

The interview lessons they told us from school said I should ask questions when they ask but I couldn't think of any. He explained everything I wanted to know already.

If it makes you feel any better, I think that video's logic isn't particularly sound. There's no real basis for it other than "it would be creepy". And Aperture Science is actually pretty pragmatic. It's just that they want to achieve some very bizarre things with an unusual system of ethics.

This is the same entity that used test subjects to kill other test subjects it had turned into homicidal giant mantis-people and is run by an omnicidal AI that takes joy in the mental suffering of humans.

Yes, but it's always for a research reason. Even if it is just "Throwing science at the wall and seeing what sticks", it's still for something. Putting corpses in boxes is not new or revolutionary at all. It's something people have done for at least millennia, maybe more.
Likewise, GLaDOS' attitude is to be the most effective at making testing happen. It's all oriented towards doing the most Aperture Science possible.

I think GLaDOS drops various hints about the companion cube being something more just to make her test subjects paranoid and horrified for her personal amusement.

It would be in-character for GLaDOS. Then again, it would also be in-character for Aperture to make an inanimate cube sentient, or stuff a corpse in there as some new line of cubical coffins.

While Aperture has the tendency to do excessively silly stuff, it always has a scientific reason, so corpse containers are out of the question. On the other hand, companion cubes could actually be the results of early, failed experiments on consciousness transfers, since they obviously needed to do some testing first before they tried it on Caroline.
