There's a small spider that resembles a 2 milimeter version of a black tarantula. It's actually really cute, which is not something that applies for all spiders in the northern hemisphere.

That is the one type of spider that I actively avoid killing. Jumping spiders are pretty adorable. At first, I was rather confused that you didn't recognize it.

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with the idea of starting my new job next month. Its a huge step up, including a 40% increase in income and a more rapid release cycle. It is also the first time in my career where I leaving a job for my own gain, rather than to escape a failing company or deal with a college related relocation. I like my job, and the people I work with. I just need more money to help get my parents back on their feet and hopefully prepare for my own future.

Yeah, it was a really cute spider, I didn't want to kill it. I didn't recognize it because I'm from Poland, not East Coast. What was more scary is the thought that this one was... a newborn, I guess? And that there could be spiders a few times larger than this one. I don't have arachnophobia, but I don't really like small things with lots of legs, living in a flat with fucking cockroaches everywhere. I wouldn't mind a squad of trained jumping spiders cleaning the house, though.

Am I the only person that doesn't get too many bugs? I have 3 main bugs in the house, greatest to least, of Flies, Mosquitoes and a unidentified type of tiny black beetle, that are the bugs in my house. Cat ignores anything but flies. I personally wage war on all 3. I've probably swatted more bugs out of the air then my cat (He is a lazy bastard).

Hey, you could live in the tropics and get giant centipedes. Their bite is apparently VERY painful. Very painful indeed!

Isn't it also deadly? I remember hearing horror stories about centipede bites when I was younger, like how there was no antidote or it was deadly enough to kill an elephant and stuff like that.

All I ever see are silverfish and cellar spiders.  We pretty much peacefully coexist. 

Now, when I lived with my parents (a long, long time ago), I'd spot the rare house centipede.  Those fuckers are terror incarnate.

House centipedes are a rather terrifying sight to behold.  But apparently they're not bad to have around.  Hunt cockroaches and stuff.
