This is my first one. It's not really an experience I'd like to repeat :/

I mean, at first it was just kinda weird. Weather alert on the phone, followed by the TV, but it just struck so suddenly and before I knew it the entire hotel was huddled in the hallways, away from any windows.

Seems to be passing by now. Power is still out though, and there's no indication of when it will come back.

Yeah, it's odd. It always seems like a distant far off thing, then it suddenly gets very, very real.

Still without power. I sacrificed my laptop's battery overnight to charge my phone, which is far more useful in a situation like this.

Apparently, a hotel got completely leveled last night and some people were killed. Don't know any real details at this time, just rumors.
