US isn't all that bad. It has low taxes for example. And Joe Biden. How many of your politicians are as Funny as Joe Biden?

How many of your politicians are liked in their home state colly-wobble grounds divisionary parcel because they've gotten out of their cars and chased down purse snatchers?

Telepathic hentai artists. That's pretty terrifying, when you think about it.

Well, in Belgium there's a tradition that everybody working at the railways and busses is on strike at least once a month.
More if the pensions are touched.

So much strikes ._.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Unfortunately not, but Biden makes for a semi-acceptable substitute.

This is Europe we're talking about. Things happen there because the bureaucracy there is millenia old. It takes a seriously long time for something with that much inertia to stop. A few hundred years of 'not working' isn't going to do much to slow it down.

Unless you're in a heavily populated area where pets or children might run into the street, all you need to see is the silhouette of the road and headlights of other vehicles.  Driving in slick conditions is just a matter of driving smooth.  Don't brake or turn hard.  If you feel yourself lose your grip on the road, ease up on everything until friction catches up with you again.  Don't touch your brakes (you'll only slide more) or turn your wheel unless you have to counter-steer.  It's really easy.  No reason to stress out.  Most dangerous thing is other drivers.

I heard someone get shot last night. Just three gunshots, then a car sped off. I was unable to call the police due to having no working phone. I had took a peak outside from a window, but I couldn't see anything in the dark.
Later, police and ambulance came by. I told the police everything I knew, which wasn't much. They were there for a while and left silently, so whoever it was probably died. :(

Reading about Luke physically contorted my face into a snarl.

To be fair, we're modernizing.

The new Belgium to Amsterdam line is equiped with new highspeed electrical trains which are capable of failing to drive automatically. No human intervention, like strikes, required.

I had to read that twice to absorb the hilarity.
