We got a snow a couple years ago that iced over. It was glorious. Seriously, you know it's good when a ten foot hill propels you three hundred feet on a sled.

I prefer to sit in a snowy field and contemplate.

It serves until the waterfalls thaw at the very least

Fuck that. Curling up in a nice chair, near a fireplace or wood-burning cookstove, with a nice, thick novel and maybe some cocoa or tea. That's the proper way to spend winter.
Preferably with a cute guy sitting nex-... on-top of you.
These two speak the truth.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Okay okay, I'd prefer a video game controller in my hands instead of a novel.

This. I would love to just to read a book. Something about snow is simply quieter, silenter, comfier.

Also the cute guy thing falls flat. Although I suppose theres room for a significant other on a park bench.

Wow, I would have never guessed that I would cause that avalanche of responses... NO. Bad snow puns. Stay in the subconscious where you belong.

*hem*

Anyhow, best part of winter is moderately injuring yourself and several friends doing stupid things in the ice. Though sitting by a fire with lots of fuzzy flammable things, a stack of books higher than you, and a couple drip-feeds of cocoa and Earl Grey is a close second best.

I am thoroughly convinced of the sacredness of hedonism. The right sort of hedonism, that is- the sort revolving mainly around good books, tasty food, good alcohol, bad weather, oversleeping and cuddly sex.

So, if you were lost in the snow, slowly freezing to death, what book would you want to die with?

To hell with winter. It's not even here yet, and I'm already ready for spring. As in, LATE spring. As in, 80+ degrees and humid.

Only good things about winter is flannel sheets, sleeping buried under five layers of blankets, and mulled cider/wine.

Winter has where I live in its icy embrace, causing ice crystals to appear on various surfaces.  not just a frost but actual crystals are appearing, between 0.5 to 1 cm long and temperatures at around -5*C.  I like the look of them
