I have to retake my qualifying exam's theory of computation component in 16 hours, 47 minutes.

If I fail it again, I'm out of the Ph.D program and have more or less wasted the last year in grad school.

No amount of studying makes me feel like I'm ready for this.

I didn't ask, but I think the answer is no.  Not sure why, exactly.

They have old exams available online to study from, but no solutions.  So... not a big help there.  Well, it'll be over in 14 hours and 7 minutes, one way or another.

Ugh. I have two baby relatives staying in my house ATM. I posted about this in the Rage thread already.
Anyway, it's 3:35AM and one of them just started boo-hooing from another room. I had my headphones on, and heard some weird sound as I was reading something. I pull them off and listen, trying to work out what it was.
Of course, my first thought was that it was a kid whining, but then the sound came again and with my single working ear I could not work out what the hell it was, and it really creeped me out for a brief moment.
And these bloody things hardly sound human anyway. Urgh.
