What's funny is if you actually were to use seven proxies at once, it would take 5 minutes to load a text page.

Depending on the proxies I doubt it'd be more than a few seconds. A noticeable delay of course, but it's not like trying to access the internet from Mars.

Drag Me to Hell is a movie that made me terrified yesterday. Normally I'm not very impressed by jump-scare movies, but this one didn't really do anything but make one jump. All the goddamn time. Just about the only part that wasn't suspenseful was when the demon was right there in the room with the main character during a seance. When the least scary part of the movie is 'oh shit there's a demon trying to kill everyone while a goat is screaming profanity', there's something seriously wrong with said movie.

While I'll leave political terrors out of this since they're the only thing really scaring me right now, I'll just leave a little tidbit of psychology here. According to some psychologists all arousal, be it fear, sexual arousal, surprise, etc. is all the same basic mechanism that is simply misinterpreted by the brain. As such being terrified near someone can cause you to think they're more attractive since you're not sure whether or not it's them or the fear stimulus that's arousing you.

I know it's hard to believe, but even if you don't it's not a hard concept to apply. Just take first dates to horror movies if they like that sort of thing, or watch a B movie about goats screaming profanity with your romantic interest. Couldn't hurt*.
