Sounds familiar. I do that a lot to folk; I'm good at vanishing with people around, then popping back up from unexpected directions. And when you add that I perfectly fit the heavyset biker stereotype with a face perpetually set to "I will murder your children." things get only funnier.

Speaking of people getting murdered, I watched the news today. Explosion in a coal mine's main gallery, triggered by a gas pocket. 5 people dead, torn limb from limb by the blast; they were working maintenance. Another three almost died trying to bring their bodies back up. All under 40. One of the dead had two kids. Another had just gotten married; His wife, now his widow, is pregnant.
Why the blast? The government budget didn't include money for safety systems to replace the current 40 year old machinery, but pumped money into useless tourism commercials that never aired.

That's one of the few things that can still manage to scare me. Knowing that people die because other people are greedy bastards.

I've never seen one of those. Ever. I see these phone commercials all the time but I've never seen one of these. And I haven't seen a Zune in years. The guy I knew that had one had his disappear on him. But seriously I don't see much Microsoft crap around. It's all Apple these days. Halo effect and whatnot.

That's because Apple has made far greater investments into mobile devices than Microsoft, which concentrates mainly on software.
