Whether I'll be able to get into Stanford. o_o  Even if I'm not going there, it'd still make me feel good to get accepted... >.>

While talking with my Biology teacher for a recommendation, the Physics teacher (who taught my classes for two years) was all pessimistic about my chances to get into it. xD

Reminds me of a few weeks back, in science, we had to make BIOLOGICAL DRAWINGS. If you are unawares as to what that is, it's basically, in my own words:

FUCKING BULLSHIT.

You must follow the directions perfectly, or it is WRONG. Too close to the nonexistant margin? WRONG! START AGAIN!

Oh, and it must be done in pencil. AND THE BEST PART, IS THAT I OVERHEARD THE TEACHER SAY THAT EVEN SHE DISLIKED IT
AAGRHGGM

You must be in a terrible place. My understanding of biological drawings is that if it's: a reasonable size, not sketched or shaded, headed, and labeled with the lines all parallel and the writing in ink, you're fine. And purely from curiosity, you don't normally draw in pencil?

I don't draw, that's the thing. I prefer pens, looks better when written.

Massive confrontation between bandits who set a bus on fire and cops a few kilometers from here. Right in front of a friend's house too, though fortunately he's not at home. I'm really glad whomever made this building decided to make solid two bricks-thick walls, leaving only windows as vulnerable spots.

You need to set your town on fire now! It is all up to you! The Canadian Authorites assure me that I 'm not allowed to burn the US and took my Kerosene.

* Sirus points out that the Ebola Guy is likely already in custody, probably in a BSL facility with doctors in HazMat suits, and that ebola isn't all that contagious anyway

Our actual health care system might not be the best around, but the CDC does not fuck around with this stuff.

Aye. We're, honestly, probably fine.

At least...

Canada is.  ;)

Not much in the way of diseases can really get to us. Comes from having such a high syrup content in our bloodstream. Canadians take FOREVER to bleed out for the same reason. Makes blood sacrifices sort of inconvenient.

I live fairly close to Dallas, and from what I've heard, Ebola Guy was quarantined pretty much the second the story hit the media.

So, unless Ebola Guy was already puking blood out of both ends when he got grabbed the chance of an outbreak are slim to nil.

Not gonna bet on whether he lives or not course. Even with top medical care it doesn't seem like the survival rate is very high.

Actually ebola's contagious enough to be transferred through mucus and saliva. Let's hope he didn't sneeze too much before he got caught.

And surviving ebola comes down to simply being able to pump in more blood than you bleed out. It's... Not very clean. Your body can and will end up beating it unless you bleed out first.

Something tells me that following Pufferfish's link is a terrible idea.

Edit: Yes. Yes, it was.
