Absolutely terrified I will jump onto or fall on a sharp object that somehow blinds me, or seriously injures me. It stems from this incident where a girlfriend of mine left an opened pin that was pointing straight up on my bed, and I jumped onto me bed without knowing it was there. I eventually felt around and found it. "I could have totally landed on that with my eye." The core of the fear is people--including myself--doing stupid stuff that can injure me.

If you actually pulled 3 all-nighters in the past 3 days, I wouldn't trust your perceptions of anything (including nail length) during that entire time.

Sleep deprivition does crazy things to the brain, and minor hallucinations are par for the course.

I've never done drugs, but I have gotten into a sleep deprived state where I was extremely paranoid and absolutely every shape in the corner of my vision looked like a quasi-human figure either standing there or making subtle movements.

Things that made me terrified: I had to drive like that. Alone, at night. I kept thinking there were shapes of people or animals moving onto the road in front of me, but on a double-take there'd be nothing there.

At least I was on empty backroads, so I was able to go ridiculously slowly and cautiously.

Not everyone handles sleep deprivation the same ways, though.  I was a sleep deprivation all-star when I was younger... have done two days many times, 3 days a few times, and got 3 hours over the course of a week.  Never suffered hallucinations or paranoia.
