How would that even work? Shifting your perspective, I mean.
Since the stars we see and other celestial objects are so far from us, it means that we would only get one side of the light they emit or reflect. Our eyes are only a few inches apart as well, so I don't think it is possible for us to obtain the depth of an object so far away from us that we might as well have one eye.

Seems to me the only way for that to work would be to actually do what Randall proposed.

Well you could get a scaled-down version of that effect by using some sort of double-periscope spectacles.

Apparently there was a shooting about a half mile from me as I walked home.

Blue Cars effect? Or maybe you mean the White Van effect?

We've been having these mass shootings every month or two, or three, unfortunately.

The person who is probably my best friend (you guys would know him as Ehndras) just tried to commit suicide.

And I think I may have been all that was stopping him from trying again.

My computer nearly gave me a heart attack. I went out for a few minutes and return to a black screen. The computer said it was on but the screen showed nothing. I checked with a different monitor and cables, VGA (from DVI-A port), HDMI and nothing. I thought the graphics card had died or something.

One quick reboot, though, and the PC shouts hibernation failure. Except the PC didn't show any signs of hibernation. So what, did it hang on the hibernation process or something?

Oh well, at least it's functioning now. Except it moved around all my organized desktop icons >:(. Probably because it moved from 16x9 to 16x10 resolution and back when switching monitors.

Hybrid hybernation or whatever it's called apparently works really badly, it could be that.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

There are the biggest hailstones (? not sure it's the right word) falling around atm. Some of them are bigger than my fists, and they make impacts on cars. I'm seriously thinking my window is gonna break if this continues.

* Cmega3 tries to get a perspective shift to happen.
* Cmega3 somehow manages to actually make it work and stick this time.

You mean just a mental thing or did you actually do the camera thing?
If the former, yeah that happens sometimes. Don't worry about it.
If the latter, pics please.

Sadly, the former.
I wouldn't be able to do the latter without raising suspicions being asked by other people to allow them to try.
