Whoops, I was wrong. You actually literally explode.

I'm just gonna point out that the difference in pressure here was 9 atmospheres.

When it's just a 1 atmosphere difference, things are much less interesting, and much more survivable.

CORRECTION!

The universe's visible matter is 99.9% hydrogen.

Of course, it -is- in plasma form :P but isn't incandescent, it's ionized gas, controllable by magnetic fields.
HOWEVER!

Something like 75% of the universe's total mass is in fact DARK MATTER, at least according to astrophysicists!

The universe is ~68.3% dark energy, ~26.8% dark matter and ~4.9% normal matter. 75% of that normal matter is hydrogen.

Dark matter, can't explain that. Checkmate, atheists.

Oh, and I opened an old textbook and found spiders. Only little ones, but yeah.

My fear of anything with chitin has decided to kick me in the ass recently as a roach decided to come in my room last night to get some of the discarded seed hulls from my Cockatiel's cage. I of course cowered in fear instead of doing something.

That or my pacifism kept me from going to kill it >_>

(I do clean around the cage about once a week, so my room isn't all covered in seed hulls)

Violin solo tomorrow noon, as part of an ensemble trio. I didn't have time enough to perfect it, so I'm probably going to do bad :(

Thing about cockroaches is they are remarkably clean. They clean themselves rigorously, and bacteria have trouble sticking to their exoskeleton. We just hate them, and thus spread lies about them being dirty to fuel our hatred.

Also, I was under the impression that it was called the 'husk', not 'hull'

Really? Interesting.

And on that, I just use Hull over Husk. not sure which is the 'correct' term.

Actually cockroaches can make an environment cleaner, since they eat up food debris and also sometimes smaller, problematic pests. While cockroaches themselves just kind of hang around and sometimes have babies everywhere.

Perhaps we've just been failing to communicate the form of "dirty" we meant for them.

Those dirty, dirty little chitinous cockroaches...

I on the other hand have been having trouble with some dirty little wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets. Turns out our new home is a favorite nesting ground for several species in the area. SO MANY WASPS! So little wasp spray left!

Amazingly, although mother got stung three times for kicking a board, I have yet to be touched despite running amok smacking them out of the air with socks, spraying poison all over their offspring and nests, and beating the shutters like drums. And grabbing a couple with wads of paper and personally dismembering them. BUT THERE'S SO MANY!

also bumble bees, but they're cool. Carpenter ants need to DIE though.

Too many stinging things in one place for my taste. Too many bugs in general, really. You could always raise spiders.

Oh, hey.  I've been waging war on some yellow jackets today, too.  Killed like 30 of them so far.  They like to build their nest in this one spot on our porch, and always come back, no matter how many times we destroy it.  Kept it under control last year, but ignored it too much this year.  Their numbers got rather large.  So in the year 2013 war was beginning.

... on one hand, I want to say, y'know, live and let live. Harm not what has not yet harmed you, etc., so forth, so on.

On the other hand, they're goddamn wasps and they're right up there with bed bugs and whatnot in the upper ranks of "Nature's Utter Bastards That Deserve to Die." Bring the fire, SG. Burn the bastards.

Why don't you buy a hive of carnivorous ants and set them up to fight each other?

But this is better because you can record them fighting and put it on YouTube. People love watching various animals of different species fight each other.

It would be so much fun to burn them, but I'll have to keep it to chemical burns.  That spray stuff really works.  They drop dead instantly when hit with a good concentration.  Didn't have much, though.  So I was only able to spray the nest and killed like 15 right there.  Then I spent about 15 minutes engaged in hand to hand combat in my +5 motorcycle suit of sting immunity.  That was on my lunch break.  Went home for lunch just for that purpose, because my wife called and said they were swarming the doors and acting super aggressive.  They scattered and have since only been coming back 1-3 at a time, at which point I go out and whack them.  One tried to ambush me when I got home after work, and I was lucky to have a broom right next to me I could grab and fend it off with.

I beheaded one about 20 minutes ago, and it appears to still be trying to re-attach its head to its body.  Seriously.  It was severed just below its two front legs, and it's still struggling fruitlessly to crawl back onto its abdomen.
