I have that happen to me quite often, sometimes it's rather hard to explain certain concepts, especially when I need to translate stuff for other people, I know what the shit means I just can't explain it proprely without a lot of flailing or comparing stuff so they hopefully get what I'm trying to convey.

Also, people keep piling art related jobs on me, I can't handle this shit people, making money with art was always a distant dream, something that kept me going, I can't have that shit come to reality, WHAT WILL I DO THEN!?!?!

LEARN TO FLY!?!?!?

THAT SHIT IS EXPENSIVE!!!!

Your fate.  Give it to me.

I'd rather not :P

I've been mulling this whole situation over and I've come to the conclusion that this is one of those moments that decides most of my future. And there's no easy way to decide frankly. I've been mostly terrified of failure but recently I've realized that it's not just failure, it's success too. I've settled into a routine and I don't want that changed becuase let's be honest, however thrilling and awesome at times change has generally been a horrible expirience for me, the panic that comes from loosing all grip on the handlebars of the bicycle hurtling towards a cliff that is life and it takes a while to learn how to ride like that. But after a while, when it all settles down I actually get to enjoy the new state of things.

The thing that troubles me here is that this stuff is coming up at a rather nasty point in my life where I have to either dedicate my entire time to studying to be able to stay in college (something I'm rather wary of since the whole thing has been becoming more and more disgusting as of late) or try and do all these projects while at the same time improving my skills. And with the current state of the world I don't think I can actually get that far without a considerable investment of time. The offers aren't big, but they're tantalizing enough that I can't stop thinking about them, they could be a start, but then again, they could be nothing more than whatever diety yanking my chain just because it can. And it's a terrifying think too to try and argue for this with my parents since they won it the last time and if it fails I do not want nor need to suffer trough the "I told you so's" and whatever job, if any I manage to get.

So the TL;DR of it all is that this is probably a turning point in my life and I frankly can't decide which way do I want to go since both are equally terrifying in their own ways. And it doesn't help that I can't really to anyone but random internet strangers about this stuff since it seems you guys are the least biased thing I have right now :C

Piano exam.
Eek.
If I didn't get scared, it would be fine. But when scared, it goes awful.
Well, here goes.

Can see how this will play out:

* Spaghetti7 sits down at piano.

* Spaghetti7 stares at piano.....

In John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), the Norwegian at the very start is shouting what translates to:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Right before he's shot by Lieutenant Garry.

Kinda makes you want to learn Norwegian.

EDIT

"The gutted and burned-down buildings seen in the film indicate the Norwegians’ liberal use of kerosene, incendiary grenades, and perhaps thermite charges. On the other hand, the gaping holes in the walls and ceilings of the surviving buildings suggest the Thing had transformed itself into a large, powerful beast able to tear through barriers with impunity."

Well shit. I think Jeffrey just won the debate.

"What is amazing here is that, by the end of the battle, the Norwegians had somehow gained the upper hand over the Thing. As we know, they came extraordinarily close to vanquishing their enemy altogether. That is, until Garry finally stopped the last Norwegian from carrying out what had probably turned into a personal quest for vengeance."

Revenge + Norwegians > Jeffrey

If you want to know something really scary about the Thing, I can give you what is probably the definitive answer as to MacReady and Childs.
