Thats exactly what I dont want to start hoping for though, because if I do, and it doesn't happen. I'm going to be CRUSHED. As such I'm trying to just focus on enjoying the affection. And no problem, take as much time as you need xD I appreciate that your talking with me at all. And yeah I know he'll end up hurt, I'm just taking the selfish route.

Quite. Well, you seem to be trapped. You're afraid of being dissapointed in case she isn't interested in you, so you wish to enjoy the snuggles, yet you know that the situation cannot last forever, but you're afraid of her rejecting you if she gets mad at the suggestion, perhaps because she isn't getting enough out of current boyfriend, or has a crush on you but doesn't want to betray said BF. Either way, the only way out seems to be to tell her how you feel about the whole thing, not in insinuating terms, but telling her that you feel guilty about helping her (technically) cheat on BF. But that would either stop the snuggles (not sure if you want or don't) or she hooks up with you, and you feel vaguely guilty about hurting BF. Huh. Do you know anyone you trust who is guaranteed confidential who actually knows about this kind of stuff and how to get out of it (relatively) safely? Might be best to tell them. But if you feel that you can't help her live a lie anymore, you probably shouldn't. Never turns out good.

That's a really crappy situation. The only offer of advice that I can make is "You should probably find your attachment elsewhere. This is gonna get ugly, and it's gonna do so quick." Mind you, I know how much easier said than done that is.

Umm not quite? Im afraid of hoping that she'll leave, only to be dissapointed when she doesn't. She's told me she's unatainable, so I'm respecting that. She's fine with us ending this and just being normal friends, but I almost don't want that. I'm not really fine with helping her cheat, but I'm ignoring that part of my brain right now... Even though I'm not happy to help her cheat, it is more of an ethical stance than an actual guilt one. I dont like her boyfriend, he has hurt my younger brother many times and he takes the girl I'm interested in for granted. Usually I'd talk to my younger brother about stuff like this, except he is part of her friend group, and he's notably against her and her boyfriend's relationship, so she asked me not to talk to him about this as she fears he would use the info to sabotage her relationship with her boyfriend.
