Never thought I'd say this, but I'm looking forward to hunting season. People always bring my parents shitloads of venison.

We have a guy come out once a year to hunt on our land. He always kills two deer, and we get one. Deerburgers are tasty.

I make... lots of stuff with my Venison ^_^. Right now we have about 30 lbs of smoked sausage, a few roasts, and probably a large number of steaks and tenderloins left over from last deer season here. Mom was in a 'If it's Brown it's down' kinda mindset last season and ended up killing one that she shouldn't have because we were planning to let it grow for another year.

Other than almost getting attacked by random wildlife while sitting on my front porch I haven't been terrified. Bees... damn bees... and possums.

I myself don't know, but I DO know that Grenlandic reindeer tastes VERY good.

Deer is very tasty and very lean. You can't cook it exactly like beef or it could come out really dry. It depends on how you like your beef though.
