You know whats fun? Picking up an onion (to put in the onion display, I work produce in a grocery store) and having your hand sink into it like it was made of jello. The whole fucking onion. It looked fine, but that was just a thin veneer of normality, a hollow, but not empty shell to trick the unwary. That unwary was me, and I was fucking disgusted.
I wonder if I can get diseases from handling rotten fruit and veggies. o.O Suddenly, this is on topic.

I had to move the old ones onto the new pallet of watermelons, and I did until I got near the bottom to find that little gem. I refused to remove it and continue moving watermelons after I almost vomited.  The world of produce is a terrifying one, and one that I hope to stay away from for quite a while.

Thankfully, I have been lucky enough to avoid any... Living creatures within produce. Except that giant aphid beetle thing tonight. It was clinging to my shirt sleeve, and looked harmless, so I dropped it in the big bin of corn husks. Live and let live.
Also, I have a broken hand, so moving watermelons is a bitch for me.

I was watching the first Lord Of The Rings movie (again) and when Gandalf says, "Over the bridge! Fly!", I thought he said 'die'. The scary thing is that I could actually see Gandalf luring the Fellowship into a trap to save Middle-Earth, ruthlessly murdering Frodo and the rest to save millions as their faces slacken from their looks of betrayal.

My mind scares human me sometimes.
