It's either a fusilli that hits on you, or a spaghetti that happens to be possessed by a demon/demons.

I just discovered the existence of the coconut crab, better known as "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH KILLITWITHFIRE OMGWTFBBQ"

Spoiler: Warning, large images. (click to show/hide)

Seriously, if I came across one of these nightmares walking down the street, I'd nope all the way to the next continent over. Maybe two continents, just to be safe.

"They're monsters! There's not a nickel's worth of difference between a shellfish and a giant bug!"

Why are the crabs somewhere that dry and dusty? Go home this isn't the sea.

Because they eat coconuts, and coconuts don't live in the sea.

Common children television may debate that. I hear they're a good habitat for sponges.

Clearly they don't realise that a sponge is actually a cake and not a fish.

No, see, that's pineapples. See, starfish might live under coconuts, if they can't find a good rock.

Would explain why we couldn't kill them if they were supposed to be a cake; nobody ever tried outright eating them.

Damnit, Greatorder. Why did you need to share the horror with all of us?
I guess 'misery loves company' is a saying for a reason.

Anyway: I just tried to start DF and my laptop threw a fit.
It was like... a soft BSOD or something. Somehow the song I was listening to didn't stop playing or even skip... maybe I'm just listening to it in my head or something. But! I figured I should say, if I suddenly disappear from the internet in the not-too-distant future, it's probably just due to my computer no longer working and myself having no other easy means of web browsing and being too shit at life to get a new computer.

That or I got hit by a truck or something, I guess. :P

There is a thing practised in western Iran which involved grabbing the bottom of your erect penis and bending the top until a cracking noise is heard.

This is making me scream internally.

man, what the fuck

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

FYI that cracking noise is the erectile tissue rupturing. Why do this.

The show I watched earlier seems to have traumatised me.
Spoiler: Scary stuff (click to show/hide)

I can't remember the last time I got freaked out about something like this.
Oh, wait, yeah last time was probably a death scene in the fourth season of American Horror Story. Damn, that one was a doozy. I find that TV shows, with their far longer running time, really allow one to form more of an attachment to their characters than movies. It tends to be the sudden end of a character that shocks me, rather than the gory details of their demise. Just gruesome deaths on their own usually just make me chuckle, but when it's a character that you've gotten used to having around- like a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing couch in the corner of a room- having them suddenly torn away can be emotionally devastating. Then again that might be because I don't have many friends and thus tend to become way too attached to fictional characters. I dunno.

Sorry for rambling, but I can't sleep. And rambling is a thing I do when I am sleep deprived. A lot.
