Oh god, what if other countries wind up creating their own versions of that?  I would say no one in their right mind would try that, but several things have shown the government doesn't really think rationally.

Already there, just less explicitly. Having a criminal record in a Western country affects one's career, as does an illegitimate academic degree, as does a poor credit rating, and so on. I'm not saying this is in any way a good thing, but calling China out for the idea itself, rather than how it's going to be used, seems hypocritical to me.

But yes, it's totally going to be used to cement the government's position. And that's terrible.

Actually it's my father's Jeep, so I don't even have that. But worry not. I am equally bad at parking all vehicles.

On a totally unrelated note, I've only had my license a couple of weeks if that and everything is about to get icy. And I have to drive to work late at night and back home early morning.

Well, it's that bad. Up until now I've made it a point of pride not to talk badly about her, despite all that's happened - and I was on my way out, I was on the tail end of the whole thing... So yeah, fuck her with something hard and sandpapery that's been wrapped in several layers of barbed wire.
