I'm not keen to go digging through legal books, but it's a fairly moralistic type of law (it also applies to things like drug dealing and other immoralities, but the association is mostly with sex crimes). It's entirely possible that as written it is vague enough for that, though OW's point about reporting does indeed make it be unlikely to be applied like that.

There's a reason just about every pornographic site that could get tracked down has an age gate, since it differs the responsibility to something they have no power over.

Pornographic sex isn't actual sex, though, if you get what I nean. There's a difference between people who have "earnest" sex and people who are acting.

I mean, it'd be different if the sexers were involving the kid in some way, even in the mist passive way, like say one of the sexers getting of on the idea of the kid overhearing or being in the vicinity. But sex happening and a kid just happening to be nearby for unrelated reasons? I don't see what would be so bad about that. Sex isn't dangerous.

A small jar of water got tipped over by cats on my desk, where my laptop was lying. Now I'm terrified it might be ruined but I don't dare turn it on until its had a chance to dry out.
