Woken up three times this morning, two of them because I was scared shitless by something. In the first it were this spider/praying mantis hybrids, somehow they got stuck to me with their tick as hair webs, it was terrifying enough to wake up.

Then I fell asleep again, I think I was a part of some expedition gone wrong, anyways, I stumble upon this fortified building (it's either a police station or a mall) with some survivors in it, they use robots to fend off the zombie/infested monsters, and they produce them from automated factories that are controled by a modified vacuum cleaner. But one night we didn't make enough, so we got overrun, it's quite terrifiying seeing those things break in while you're pretty much defensless.
The enitre time I had the feeling some big damn heroes moment would happen and a part of was would be saved or something, but I didn't want to count on it or wait for it so I just forced myself awake.

Unless Microsoft have implemented sneaky memetic control commands into MS-DOS or its risen corpse, I don't think waxmatbl.bat would be able to do that. The best SCP are the realistic ones.

Not only am I doing my first Community Game, Watchedgleam, tomorrow, I'm also in the process of downloading the save to the veritable giant, SPEARBREAKERS.

I've got almost no time, either. Looks like a DF session on Wednesday then! MUAHAHAHAHA. Hum.

Not all the SCP articles are OMGFUCKRUNTERRIFYING.
Some are just subtle *shudder*, some are just squick, some are outright hilarious. It's a well rounded mix.

The ones about infectious substances etc generally just make me a bit squeamish.

I remember how, when I was a kid, my friend and I used to compete to freak each other out with creepy 'ghost' stories and such.
That was always fun.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. Thought the image file was a nice touch. (the filename translates to "checkmate" in Russian, btw) 

I still think my favorite is SCP-108. Because it's very well done, and sheer and utter WTF in concept.

Well I do have an overactive imagination, and that image pretty much scared the carp out of me (mind you, I'm not too scared about many things after exposure to DF and mainstream video games). Anyway I'm kinda over that bit now, and the rest of the SCP stuff are interesting in comparison

A few days ago I was walking back to the house where I'm spending the summer at while I'm doing some research over the summer at my school. It was later than usual, since I'd lost track of time while working, and so it's starting to get dark, at like 8:30. I'm a bit worried, but the house is in a nice neighborhood and only about 20 minutes away. As I'm walking back there aren't many cars on the road, which is normal for this time of night. A single car slows down behind me, as it goes to turn a corner, and I hear six loud bangs in rapid succession. I look back at it and it's almost out of sight, so I just keep walking. Then a couple seconds later I hear someone shouting 'Get back here!'. There were a few more cars around, so I didn't bother to speed up, but the ten minutes it took me to get back to the house were the longest I've ever spent walking. Still have no clue what was actually happening.

SCP also has some which are just terrible. Like the parasite which does nothing more sinister than make your hair wiggle. I mean, seriously, that's not even something the World Health Organization would care about, let alone a society whose function is to protect the world from apocalypse! We live in a world where tapeworms are common; hair-wiggle-worms is hardly something scary the world needs to be shielded from.

It was late in the night when a travelling percussion band noticed that someone had dropped their money. They told the guy that said money was dropped, but the guy was already walking away. To get some attention they struck their drums six times in succession, when suddenly everyone was running.
"GET BACK HERE!" was shouted, as the guy ran off screaming "NO YOU WILL TAKE MY MONEY AND YOU WILL ENJOY IT."

I go to pick it up and aim it at my face; and as I grab it, it looks past my second monitor, the light from which created a split second image which looked eerily like a blurry slenderman. O_O
Okay, lights in my room are now staying ON.
