Sadly, real architecture doesn't follow DF physics.

In this case, though, the building will just need cosmetic repairs.

People near the epicentre were not so lucky, with almost a thousand dead last count, and many national monuments destroyed.
Jeez.

Well.. even though I took tylenol a hour ago my ear temperature is 37.9~38.5 ... though I know that ear temperatures aren't the most reliable.

I guess I'll wait for my parents to arrive...
Wait...people measure temperature in their ear? How? Do you just put a thermometer in?

Building's probably going to need more than just cosmetic repairs, for safety's sake. If the rest of the city was having more exaggerated issues, and its all built to the same standard...

And the best part is, the ride will never end (in your lifetime)! Welcome to the middle of a continent-continent collision zone and contemporary orogeny!

And then the neighbors to the east have a multiple-thousand mile long oceanic subduction zone with associated volcanic activity, which is really fucking fun. And the tropical storms.

Nah, only one building in this city had more than cosmetic damage, and that was a badly made balcony illegally tacked onto the side of the house.

I...
What.
How.
Punching in random names.

That's also how I got a story about The Doctor shooting a bunch of people with grenade launchers to fight Doctor Evil over the Chrono Trigger while Ed Rooney from Ferris Bueller's Day Off gets shipped with Princess Leia.

And the sequel, which features Ford Prefect x Trinity while Lex Luthor, Perry Mason, and Marilyn Monroe try to stop Ford.

Someone submitted a very, very graphic picture of a corpse into my tumblr submission box.
Why do people do this? What the fuck is wrong with them?

Had another earthquake, this time one right under our feet, so even if it was weaker, it felt just as bad.

http://www.kongregate.com/games/austinbreed/covetous

what the hell is wrong with this game

Yet again I am an entomologist so I am completely fine with parasitoidism and cannibalism and devouring things alive BUT

It must be the presentation. Or the flashing. Or the simplistic graphics. Or the 8-bit things. Or the unnatural music.

Welp, someone broke into the reception of my hall and stole a load of spare keys. They've changed the exterior locks but if it was someone from the hall then they could still get in fine. To the best of my knowledge, no one has been notified what keys were stolen, so for all I know there's someone nearby who has the key to my room. And it isn't exactly lacking in things worth stealing...

Create a remote control-activated door bar to keep them out when you aren't around. Well, assuming your stuff is worth less than an electric motor, a really heavy post-like object to stick it on, and a book on radio operated mechanisms.

And a call to the fire department, in case it breaks and you're locked out.

And in later news, they've just told us after heavy questioning that it was a master set.
