Well, they're exceedingly unlikely to die from it unless they create a substantial amount. Either they'll do it whilst lying down, in which case it would be unlikely to reach the head, or they did it and then fell over, resulting in their head being quite far from the resultant mess.

As well as that, even someone inebriated to the point of unconsciousness could probably stir themselves to at least make the small movement upwards of the mouth/nose to ensure survival.

Considering it's russia, if it comes to that some will miss aus and land close enough (or on) the joint to either kill or irradiate (i.e. kill slow) everything there. So no worries. Even if you'd have been able to survive the total societal collapse that came afterwards in some odd scenario you didn't go boom outright, that won't happen. Even if you're not a target, russian nukes would handle you obliteration anyway. What intent doesn't manage, vodka and rust will.
