What's the significance of forbidding foreigners from owning land?

Also, what political wing does the EFF belong to?

The land bit is mostly something that I really doubt is going to be good. I'm not sure our parties fit into the normal wing system, you'll have to look it up.

Just ran across a factoid in an internal presentation:

On average, the human race is now creating 2.5 exabytes of data per day. Within a few years, we'll have created more new data than the human race has created in all the time up to this point. And by 2020, there is projected to be 50x as much data as existed in 2010.

How is this terrifying? The thought of all the data that we'll have to somehow handle?

At least, by our current definition of data, the amount of data we have created won't be exceeding the amount of atoms in the observable universe.

Don't worry, the useless crap will probably be dumped.

What's scary is contemplating who gets to decide what is or is not important to our descendents, and realizing that, regardless of who you get to do it, any information that poses an inconvenience to them, politically especially, will probably be intentionally removed.

Just link them to Bay12. We'll tell them what'll happen if they don't let you in.

Those are things? Is that for being admitted to graduate school or as a professor or something?

Undergraduate, NYU Shanghai.
Huh.  None of the colleges I looked at had those.  Two had some really long essays, however.
You'll do fine.  Probably.  From what I have been able to see around here.
Well, shit. Now we're on the Chinese government's watchlist, too.
We are JUST now getting there? What have we been doing for the past several years?
