Have you seen how anti-just-kill-them the DC universe is?

Anyone a hero actually kills a villain everyone treats it like that hero suddenly has a deadly disease.

Anytime Batman has been hinted to have killed, the police pull all the stops to take him down. Something you wish they would do to some of the many other villains in Gotham.

Suffice it to say... Comics are not kind to heros who kill in kind.

Also oddly enough the Police are always 1000 times more effective against the heros then the villains even to the point where they suddenly gain a lot more competency then they would ever usually have.
