Conducting Experiments On Various Things, As A Group?

Im 80% sure this is the right category.
I doubt this has been done before, but if it is, allow my legs to explode.
Basically, me and a couple of friends of mine (Well, a friend suggested this, but im more open to actually trying it) had an idea;

A Steam Based (It was his idea, i don't know why that was the chosen platform, but ill work with it) DF User Group, based around experimentation on various different things, to see the results.
An example would be, the capabilities of a Bronze Colossus up against an elephant after its arms and legs have been removed.

Now, while one person could try and do this, the idea put forward is more the collective results of several people, so as to cross-reference them against each other.
The pain tolerance of human M/F, elf M/F, dwarf M/F, collected from several people with 1/3 different tests on each one per user, then comparing the results to see which is more capable for example, possibly adding variety with different weapons and the like.

The poll will close in 7 days or something.

Constructive criticism is welcome, i'm not too sure of the idea myself, but its worth a shot to see if anyone's interested.

Maybe, but then the issue arises that it doesnt exactly fit into any category, and might become hard to maintain.
Ive considered making a free website with its own forum (Weebly, for example), and it'd be a sensible option, but many people would be skeptical of the sites authenticity if they didnt already know what it was (I know i would be)
